WHAT IS TEACH THE FUTURE (TTF)?

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP


We are currently a team of dedicated volunteers activating our TTF global movement.


We all believe in our mission and are organizing ways to fund our efforts. With your help we can move towards our collective aspiration.


We need help with fundraising, to secure regular and long-term funding from both private and public organizations and individuals from around the world.



JOB DESCRIPTION


As an ambitious fundraiser, you have an eye for opportunities, and are able to translate them into a tangible proposal that will (hopefully) lead to additional funding for our organization. You know what the fundraising market looks like, both the private funds as well as the governmental possibilities.


You know how to select the wheat from the chaff, to select those funding opportunities that match our cause, and know how to write the perfect proposal for it. Together with our Business Team you will design a global strategy to get started.


Teach the Future activity in the Netherlands.


ESSENTIAL TASKS

  • To directly attract and communicate with potential donors to solicit their support by becoming a regular or long-term financial donor to the organization.

  • Build rapport with potential donors from the private (global corporates and local SMEs) and public (governments and NGOs) sectors, providing an excellent engagement experience.

  • Continually improve knowledge and understanding of Teach the Future’s work and, confidently ensuring potential donors are informed.

  • Meet both quality and quantity standards to secure new and long-term donors.

  • Ensure the effective and accurate administration and processing of donors.

  • Accurately and appropriately record, protect and report fundraising data.



YOUR SKILLS

  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills in English; bilingual is a plus.

  • Culturally sensible and able to work within an international team and context.

  • Comfortable working independently and are pro-active.

  • Confident enough to propose new ideas and suggestions for funding.

  • Experience working with non-profit organizations.

  • Knowledge of the futures thinking domain.



OPPORTUNITY

  • Volunteer based position: at the moment TTF is a voluntary network and we are building towards a funded and sustainable business model for our organization.

  • Remote: our whole Team works remotely and uses Google, Slack and Zoom for internal collaborations and communication.

  • Time commitment: we estimate that this position will ask you to be available around 4 to 8 hours per week.

  • Flexible schedule: you can plan your working hours mostly yourself.
