Global Vision, Local Action: Peter Bishop strengthening Futures Literacy in Brazil

This October, Teach the Future founder Peter Bishop is visiting Brazil to support and celebrate the inspiring work of Teach the Future Brasil (TTF Brasil) and its partners who are bringing Futures Literacy to classrooms, educators, and institutions across the country.
From October 22 to 29, 2025, Peter will take part in a week of engagements organized by TTF Brasil, meeting with educators, researchers, policymakers, and students who are shaping the future of learning in Brazil.
As the founder of Teach the Future and the creator of the organization’s flagship curriculum, FutureWISE, Peter Bishop has dedicated his career to preparing young people and educators to think critically about the future and act with purpose in the present.
A Week of Learning, Inspiration, and Collaboration
Throughout the week, Peter Bishop will participate in a series of events in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, connecting global foresight expertise with Brazil’s vibrant futures and education ecosystem.

This visit marks an important step in the expansion of Teach the Future’s global mission. Together, Teach the Future Global and TTF Brasil are advancing a shared vision, empowering educators and students to imagine alternative futures, navigate uncertainty, and co-create pathways for a more equitable and sustainable world.

Dr. Peter Bishop is a leading voice in the field of foresight and futures studies. He is the founder of Teach the Future, the creator of the Framework Foresight method, and former director of the Graduate Program in Foresight at the University of Houston.
