Program Overview
FutureWISE: Futures Literacy Foundations is a classroom-ready curriculum that equips middle and secondary school students with the competencies and skills they need to understand change, plan ahead, and take meaningful action in their communities.
Futures literacy is defined by UNESCO as "the skill that allows people to better understand the role of the future in what they see and do". It enables learners to make sense of uncertainty, challenge assumptions, and make more intentional decisions in the present.
FutureWISE brings decades of globally recognized future literacy practice to the classroom.
The framework builds on more than 40 years of application in professional settings - used by organizations such as UNESCO, the United Nations, and the Association of Professional Futurists to help individuals and institutions navigate complexity. As a thought leader whose work has informed these global efforts, Dr. Peter Bishop helped adapt this approach for schools - ensuring students gain the same essential capabilities now shaping leadership around the world.
FutureWISE is designed to scale across your school's existing structure.
Whether delivered as a dedicated course, integrated into core subjects, or aligned with interdisciplinary projects, it provides a powerful and flexible pathway for embedding futures literacy into schoolwide learning.
Schools implementing FutureWISE report measurable growth in student engagement, future-ready skills, and interdisciplinary learning — positioning themselves as leaders in forward-thinking education.
Today's Educational Challenges

Our Solution
The FutureWISE curriculum is grounded in the University of Houston's world-renowned framework, developed by Dr. Peter Bishop, a pioneer in futures education.
This framework - the longest-running and most respected of its kind - guides students in building confidence and competence as they learn to anticipate change and shape the future.
Through this model, students move beyond passive learning. They build agency — the capacity to think critically, navigate complexity, and take informed action in their lives and communities.
