World Futures Day 2026

Celebrate the 6th annual World Futures Day - Young Voices 24-hour around the world conversation. Join young people and futurists across 24 sessions to celebrate World Futures Day on March 1st, 2026.

Why?

World Futures Day is an annual global event held on March 1st to spark conversations about the future. But whose future are we discussing? Young people deserve a seat at the table—their voices, ideas, and visions should shape the world they will inherit. That’s why Teach the Future, in partnership with the Millennium Project and friends, launched the Young Voices Edition.

What?

For 24 hours, we invite young people from around the world to engage in conversations about the future alongside futurists, educators, and visionaries of all ages. Each hour, a new session will take place, featuring discussions, insights, and collaborative explorations of what the future could hold.

Join Us!

💬 Want to hear young people’s visions for the future and share your own? Learn more community porjects from around the world? Play cool foresight games? Join our live Zoom sessions happening all day round on March 1st!🌍

What is World Futures Day?

World Futures Day was founded by The Millennium Project in 2014 and is celebrated annually as a 24-hour global conversation about the future. The event brings together people from all over the world to discuss what lies ahead, with sessions hosted by The Millennium Project, the Association of Professional Futurists (APF), Humanity+, and the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF).

What is the Young Voices Edition? (WFD-YV)

Since 2021, Teach the Future has hosted the Young Voices Edition of World Futures Day to ensure that young people are actively involved in shaping future discussions. Every hour, young leaders and futurists co-host sessions to explore emerging trends, challenges, and possibilities. This platform empowers young people to share their ideas, be heard, and contribute to building the future.

Sessions

Below is the 24-hour schedule. Each session is at 5pm of the major city column. Check what the session time is using the world clock link. You can join as many sessions as you'd like!
