Game the Future
Thinking about the future requires our brains to work differently than they normally do. Playing games does, too. This unit teaches students how to do both in accessible and engaging ways while building capacity to think strategically and long-term, to design games for authentic audiences, and ultimately to help others consider multiple possible futures. Students are asked to engage in critical thinking, research, design, and collaboration and will end up with a game for anyone to play and learn about the future. Materials include Powerpoint and all handouts associated with the unit.
