FutureWISE Facilitator Certification
Teach the Future®.
Give Them a Framework That Changes How They See the Future.
The FutureWISE Facilitator Certification gives you a structured, repeatable framework for futures literacy. Not as a concept, but as a skill young people can apply independently to understand how the future works and to make decisions toward the one they want.
Built for facilitators working with ages 14–25. No futures studies background required.

Every student you bring through this framework leaves with:
An understanding of the FutureWISE framework
Not an inspirational feeling, but a working mental model of how perspectives, systems, change, and leadership connect to forces, consequences, and futures—and an understanding of how to navigate all of it.
An understanding that influencing the future is a choice
By having a vision of a desired future and making decisions in the present toward that vision, individuals influence their own future and that of their community.
WHAT CHANGES FOR YOUNG YOUNG PEOPLE
Three shifts. Every time you deliver the
FutureWISE framework.

You do not need a futures studies background.
You need a genuine commitment to helping young people build perspective, think critically about the world they are inheriting, and take action toward the future they want.
Community Facilitators
WHO IS THIS FOR
Built for facilitators who work with young people.
This certification is built for facilitators who work with young people — in schools, community organizations, nonprofits, youth programs, and civic institutions.
If you guide, teach, coach, or convene young people between the ages of 14 and 25, this framework was designed for your context.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN TO FACILITATE
The FutureWISE Framework

A three-part flow for helping young people become agents of the future
FUTURES STANCE
What is?
I see where I am across time.
You gain the ability to help young people name the perspectives they carry, the systems they’re inside of, and the change that’s already happened around them—most of which they have never examined.
INBOUND CHANGE
What's coming?
I see what change is coming toward me.
You gain the ability to guide young people through forces, consequences, and possibilities they couldn’t see before—and help them hold more than one version of the future at once.
OUTBOUND CHANGE
What if?
I shape change throughdecisions over time.
You gain the ability to move young people from awareness to agency—helping them name a future they actually want and identify decisions they can make right now to move toward it.
Vision and agency are not the starting point. They are the outcome of a structured process. This is what makes the framework teachable, transferable, and powerful.
YOUR CREDENTIAL
Upon successful completion of the cohort, you will earn the FutureWISE Certified Facilitator credential—demonstrating that you can facilitate the complete FutureWISE framework directly with youth and young people in your own context.
This is a practitioner credential. It certifies your ability to deliver the framework — not to train other facilitators or certify other educators. Competence must be demonstrated, not just reported.
Your credential is valid for two years from the date of certification.
What it means to earn the Future
WISE Certified Facilitator credential
To earn certification, you must complete:
•All asynchronous coursework on the Teach the Future Learning Portal
•A minimum of 3 of 4 live sessions
•All live session homework assignments
•A capstone video: no less than one hour facilitating the complete FutureWISE framework
The cohort ends June 30. You have until July 31, 2026, to complete and submit your capstone.
Renewal
Your credential is valid for two years. To renew, you must:
•Complete a FutureWISE 4-hour safety and compliance update
•Submit evidence of facilitation that demonstrates active use of the FutureWISE framework during your certification period
Renewal is approved by FutureWISE. Regional network partners support local application but do not confer or renew certification.

YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY
Experience it. Facilitate it.
Prove it.
You cannot guide someone through a process you have only read about. That is why the certification is built in sequence: first as learner, then as facilitator.
