Telling My Story – Personal Futures

Scenario writing is a popular and powerful technique in business to explore possibilities for the future and uncover assumptions about what we think will happen. This unit teaches students how to use this tool and apply it to their own lives, resulting in a learning experience that engages students both personally and academically. By considering their own aspirations alongside future forces that could affect their life paths, students develop skills in understanding the effects of change, goal setting, and considering alternative outcomes. This unit includes readings, sample activities, and a final project assessment rubric.
