Topic: "Digital devices and Sustainability"  When we think of pollution, our metal image is usually that of smoke coming out of a chimney..  We generally think of digital devices as being "green" and with no environmental impacts. This is a misguided perception as our daily use of multiple digital objects and technology have a significant environmental and societal footprint.  As part of Earth Day events, I would like to invite you to join us for this "60-minute gaming experience" in raising awareness of the environmental issues linked to digital technology and to explore  solutions for more sustainable digital practices;  This event is for every person who uses digital devices. Teachers, academics, climate activists, researchers and policy makers are exclusively invited to be part of this dialogue.  

Facilitator Bio: Umar Sheraz is a futurist and serious-game facilitator. He is a certified trainer for a diverse range of games related to sustainability. He has previously facilitated these games with police officials, diplomats, policy makers, architects, academics and school teachers. Based on his experiences, he recently held a TEDX talk on gaming climate change.
