Incasting

The most useful images of the future are specific and vivid. Imagining the future as a real scene leads to deeper insights, builds storytelling skills, and is more fun. This technique, called Incasting, asks students to take a generic future scenario and expand upon it by adding specific future details. Students will expand on a generic future scenario with details and use it to surface insights and questions relevant to today.
