TEACH THE FUTURE
IRAN
Youth are the real owners of the future and we will do our best to empower them to shape their preferable futures
In Iran’s hub of Teach the Future, our team is looking for developing the future-oriented abilities, spread hope among the youth, and equip them with futures literacy.
We do our best to hold future-visiting sessions and facilitate future-thinking workshops in schools to prepare the young generation for future. School principals, teachers, students, parents and other stakeholder of the educational ecosystem contribute to and participate in our future-oriented endeavours.

WHAT WE OFFER

FOR STUDENTS
Futures literacy means using the future at the present time to think about future and plan for it. In practice, it can be translated into a set of important future-proof skills among which creativity, cooperation, communication and critical thinking are high on the list of priorities. But the most important point in all of our activities is to make them genuinely participatory. We have held more than 50 workshops in schools and we hopefully continue such activities.

Teachers are the heart of the educational system. Nevertheless, the question is: “Are they teaching for future?” In case of teachers, our effort is to highlight the importance and essential difference of teaching the future in the classroom, instruct them how to teach the future, and empower students to ask the right questions about the future.
FOR TEACHERS

FOR PARENTS
Students almost always welcome futures thinking with open minds; they like future workshops a lot. Teachers are also generally attracted to the future despite being skeptical about their capacity to make noticeable changes.
But changing the minds of parents is so hard. They expect schools, teachers and their children to act according to their principles. In our workshops for the parents, we try to inform them about the necessary skills for success in future and to shake their assumptions. While future-conscious parents can facilitate educational reforms, future-blind parents are the formidable barriers of any change.
